PortsToronto Environmental Assessment Public Meeting 1

  • Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Room 107 255 Front St W Toronto, ON, M5V 2W6 Canada

PortsToronto is commencing an environmental assessment of Porter Airline’s proposal to introduce jet aircraft and extend the main runway at the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

A public meeting will take place to provide information on the purpose of the environmental assessment; review the areas to be studied and the process by which this study will be completed; offer an overview of how the public can participate throughout the process; and provide a forum to ask questions and participate in the process.

The environmental assessment is one of three PortsToronto-led studies that are being undertaken at the request of Toronto City Council to provide information relative to the Porter proposal. The environmental assessment will be delivered in two steps, with the first step focusing on developing the scope, and the second step focusing on implementation of the scope. Consultation with the public and stakeholders will be an important part of both steps.

PortsToronto, its technical consultants, and the independent facilitation team will document all public and stakeholder feedback throughout the process and this documentation will be made available to the public.
